Developed by a leading research university in the United States and licensed exclusively by umf Corporation, Micrillon™ is a chemistry that holds great promise as the first “embedded RECHARGEABLE broad spectrum antimicrobial” effective against bacteria, virus, mold, mildew and other microorganisms of great concern today. Micrillon™ is unique in that it is added at the melt stage during our fiber manufacturing process. Micrillon™ is permanently embedded (encapsulated) in the PerfectCLEAN® fibers, is very durable maintaining “like new” effectiveness for the life of the product. Micrillon™ works in minutes, not hours, like most other antimicrobials, and does not leach into the environment. Micrillon has been described as a truly “disruptive technology” which will provide the consumer with an unfair competitive advantage. Another innovation that will further enhance the performance of PerfectCLEAN with Micrillon™ is DIAMONDfiber™ a unique proprietary conjugated bi-component fiber developed by UMF Corporation. DIAMONDfiber™ combined with Micrillon™ will establish a new benchmark for performance in support of infection control programs across multiple industries.

Currently under laboratory and beta testing PerfectCLEAN® with Micrillon™ will be available to commercial markets in 2010.
